Wrappit is footwear for young women. Open to customization after purchase, it reflects the gist of dressing up. Product meets varying needs of users,
compatible with differing styles: casual, classic and elegant. Modulation between these is achieved by changing the upper part –the textile- of the shoe. Product consists of a pair of soles to which different textiles can be attached with four different ways. Textiles are packaged separately to choose from and replace.

Textile, leather, rubber.

The Allotment is a bar built by individual projects of designers from RCA Platform 2. For the entrance, inspired by the communication through the cards and photographs some traditional businesses use, I installed a three dimensional wall of clips, and filled in with the instances from cultivating the Allotment.

This one implies from where to hold onto, and aims to make feel the warmth without being burnt. It attempts to mimick the how little Turkish tea glasses are used, exploration made is not on the form, rather on the movement and sensation.

This is a system of bags that work together or alone. All inter-connectible, bags are intended for different layers of things carried in urban environment or on the road.
Bags for separate occasions come together throughout the time, providing more space when more things carried,in a controlled coherent clutter.

Collection of Turkish filigree glass objects. Working with the glass craftsmen in a furnace at Istanbul’s old glassmaking district, I wanted to bring this traditional and local craft to a more contemporary context.

The pattern takes its name, eye of nightingale, from the visual play it creates when you turn it, or bring it closer to eye. I took this as a starting point, and worked on enhancing this graphic interaction of lines, where the nightingale’s eye effect is bolder, and more alive in third dimension.

This ‘’low-stool’’ is based on the thought of bringing a local archetype for more everyday context and use. It borrows the scale and posture from quintessential furniture found in Turkish coffee houses. Seat is hand beaten copper.
